Run against domestic violence as Kirrily Dear sets off on run from Broken Hill to Sydney

A woman is running from Broken Hill to Sydney to raise awareness about the of effect domestic and family violence on children.

Kirrily Dear wants to run 1,300 kilometres over 19 days and day one started on Wednesday morning in far-west New South Wales.

Ms Dear and a team of supporters intend to visit schools and hold events along the way, in towns including Forbes, Orange, and Blacktown.
